Has anyone had problems with beta 2 and iTunes backups? I just restored via DFU (after making a backup) but when I go to try and restore my data it'll go through the 5-8 minute process then error out saying 'iTunes could not restore the iPad because an error occurred'. No error codes or anything. If I use the backup I made with b1 however, it gives me no problems. Same with the backups I made on the 8.4 beta. Makes no sense. No big deal for me though, since I didn't add any important data to my iPad between the last backup I made with b1 and today.

Ss Death Master File more. This is a fun thing that we've been tossing around making a tool for. Depending on what you want to merge/replace, it can be easy or harder. Merging databases and related files.
If you just want to replace a file, you can use DBR to 'clean up' the backup after so it will restore. I just looked at my health database specifically, and it would take some work to merge to independent databases together. Theoretically, if you got a good merge of the databases you wanted, we could drop it into an existing backup and use DBR to sew it back together for a valid backup.
If someone's really desperate to do this, and got the database merged, you could email us to talk to me about it, since I'd have to help you replace the database and get it re-encrypted. Although I would make some serious backup copies of the database before you tried it, just in case. I think only the healthdb_secure.sqlite would need merging, the healthdb.sqlite just looks like configuration for the app and devices, which you would want to keep the current version of.
