I have a friend who is terrified of driving. I've been pushing her to get her DL ASAP just in case something happens and from one day to the next the privilege is taken from us for any random reason. Her mom drives an SUV so she is afraid to take the test in that car since it's quite big, I told her to borrow my car but it's a Honda Accord and she doesn't park it very well.:? Anyway, we were thinking of having her take it in a smaller car but we don't know anyone who has a smaller car. I can rent a car, I am over 25 and I have a valid DL and CC so that won't be a problem. (Just an FYI) Thanks!:mrgreen. It should be mandatory to take the test with a manual transmission vehicle. People these days are too distracted doing other stuff while driving because most of the cars are automatic and they don't have to worry about actually driving. Your right even after years of driving manual I'm still twice as careful, I don't text at all while driving and usually don't use my cell unless I'm stuck in traffic and got time. Other than that it's fun, but the majority of people are lazy and don't want to learn. Once you learn how to drive manual than you can actually call yourself a driver.
Thank you for your replies! She knows how to drive, she learned back in HS when she took driver's ed. She received her learner's permit back then but once they passed the no licenses for undocumented she was never able to get the permanent one. All those years she never really drove since she is so terrified of it. Even now she won't really drive. She's terrified but we are all insisting she gets her permanent license. Her mother's license expired and she can't renew it so she needs to make sure she can help with the driving since her mom shouldn't be risking it so much.
